Personality:
Overly self confident, easy going, a little bitchy, but all in all a kind person deep down (somewhere...) ..... that's Shiraii's personality in a nut shell.

The woman enjoys freaking others out by pretending she saw something awful in their future. Since she is a fortune teller, others expect her to always know what happens next, trying to read from her expressions, which is a really interesting game to play~ Acting as if something bad was about to happen, people easily freak out or act overly careful, causing these troubles themselves even... but she only does play such pranks in her freetime as she takes her job very seriously.
The fortune teller enjoys the company of others as well as flirting a lot, especially with people she knows are 'forbidden'... It's all a game for her. After all she already knows she won't find a -prince- anyway, right? Especially the more she drinks the more open and flirtatous she will become...

History:
Before the storm destroyed the Mermaid's Shrine, Shiraii's family used to travel the world as part of a caravan, gaining money with their fortune telling and dance performances. However as the paradise seemed to be lost, Shiraii felt that her future lay on Lucine Island. Staying behind her caravan, she opened a Fortune Teller Shop, offering her services to the inhabitants of the island.


As child, Shiraii always dreamed of a shining prince on a white steed to come and find her and live a happily ever after. Typical girl dreams one might say... but little Shiraii had one advantage: She could ask her grandma, the fortune teller of their caravan to tell if there was going to be a shining prince in her future.

“Sorry hun, I can't see any prince in your future.”

Having her innocence and dreams destroyed just like this, Shiraii decided that it was useless to live for hopes and dreams as whatever is written in one's future is set anyway, so why should she hope on for a future that wouldn't come? She learned to live for the moment and trying to prevent to read her own future: Seriously, it's boring if you know everything beforehand...

During her youth, she learned under her grandmother how to use her special ability to gain visions while at the same time performing dances and tricks with the caravan.

As the letter from Lucine Island arrived, Shiraii had a vision immediately... feeling that her future lay on the island. Telling her family about it, they traveled to the island with the young woman, helping her build her tent and shop before saying farewell until the caravan returns to Lucine Island from their long journey again.

Worktimes:
Fortune Teller Tent: Open 11 am - 4 pm, closed on saturdays and sundays

Can often be found in bars or the forest outside her regular working schedule

Additional Info:
Shiraii owns a tent at the edge of the forest that functions as her fortune teller shop as well as her home. It sometimes looks a little untidy in there... colorful pillows, silk scarfs and blankets lying around all the time.
She enjoys braiding her hair, trying out new hair styles every now and then.
Hates sweets with a passion... Chocolate is the horror for her. She enjoys more spicy food such as curry...
Her visions are usually rather blurry, more like a horoscope. Only every once in a while she has a real vision though, seeing something exactly the way it is going to happen in the future. To not influence the future she usually keeps them for herself though...
In Shiraii's caravan, only her grandmother and herself had the gift to tell the future. She learned how to use this 'mental eye' from her grandmother but she still is a beginner compared to the old woman.
Enjoys booze way too much for her own good...
Since her family mainly gained money by performing dances and music, she loves to dance a lot and is very confident about it, in contrary to her musical skills...
Enjoys singing anyway, but hates her voice...
She is an excellent cook when it comes to spicy food... but -only- when it comes to spicy food.
Often sleeps in... that's why her shop doesn't open before 11 am.
Has a serious phobia of sheep/woollys... gods know why....
