I need to buy myself a new computer since my old one is slowly dying, so I wondered what I need to be careful about as an artist. I don't care too much about playing games etc,... but what's most important to me is, that I can draw properly without lag, and a computer being able to handle my giant file sizes (7000+ pixel, 350dpi, over 150 layers,....)
My brother can get me one from scratch but here comes the problem: I suck with computers and he doesn't know what an artist computer should focus on?
Do I need lots of RAM, CPU, cores,...? My old comp has a main drive and storage on two extra drives which worked nicely. Should I keep it like that?
Any advice from you guys would be very appreciated....
